This wetland site is owned by Marion College. It is an Important Bird Area test site and is undergoing restoration. This site provides students of both Marion College and local schools the opportunity to learn about the environment with a hands-on approach.
Specialty Species:
Great Horned Owl: Great Horned Owls sometimes nest on this property beginning in February.
Warblers: Check the trails throughout this park for migrant warblers during the spring and fall.

Directions:
From the North: Take I-65 South towards Indianapolis. Take Exit 119 for 38th Street. After 1.4 miles, turn right (south) onto Cold Springs Drive. The entrance to the Ecolab is on the right (west) just under 1 mile from this intersection. If there is not parking available in the first parking lot, continue on to the second lot and park there.
From the South: Take I-65 North through Indianapolis. Take Exit 116 for 29th Street/30th Street. Take the 30th Street Ramp and turn left (west) onto 30th Street. After 1.5 miles, turn right (west) onto 29th Street. This will turn back into 30th Street. A half mile after turning onto 29th Street, turn right (north) onto Cold Springs Drive. The entrance to the Ecolab is on the left (west) after 0.4 miles. If there is not parking available in the first parking lot, continue on to the second lot and park there.Address:
