This site is located just outside of Lebanon, Indiana.  It can be exceptionally productive after there has been flooding in the area.

Specialty Species:

Buff-breasted Sandpiper:  Scan for them from late August through September

Snow Bunting and Lapland Longspurs:  It is easiest to find the Snow Buntings and Longspurs after it has snowed.  Look for areas without snow, as they tend to congregate in those areas.

Where to Bird:

County Roads: Drive along North CR 350W scanning the sod fields on either side of the road.  Also scan the sod fields along West CR 300N.  Please stay on the road as this is all private property.

Directions:

From the South:  Take I65 North to SR-52.  Travel 0.4 miles and turn left (west) onto CR 250 N.  Go 1.5 miles when the road curves sharply to the right, you have entered the sod farm.

From the North:  Take I-65 South to SR-32.  Turn left (west) onto SR-32 and follow it to N CR325 W.  Turn right (north).  Follow this road as it curves and turn right (north) onto CR 350 W.  You will see the sod farm begin on the left (west) side of the road just 0.1 miles from the intersection.
