Kingsbury is a large Fish and Wildlife Area with a variety of habitats.
Specialty Species:
Brewer’s Blackbird: Drive the roads through the area looking for Brewer’s Blackbirds in the fields.
Common Moorhen: Check the marshy areas for Common Moorhens during the spring and summer.
Northern Shrike: Drive the roads throughout the area looking for Northern Shrikes perched on the tips of trees in the fields.
Northern Saw-whet Owl: This is a great site for finding Northern Saw-whet Owls during the late fall and winter.
Shorebirds: Check all the wet areas and marshes for shorebirds during migration.
Waterfowl: Check the marshy areas for dabblers, divers, geese, and swans during the late fall and winter.

County Roads: Slowly drive the roads looking for birds.
Grand Marsh: Check this area for shorebirds when the water is low during migration.

Directions:
From the North: From the intersection of SR-2 and US-35 in LaPorte, take US-35 south. After 6.8 miles, turn left (east) onto East Hupp Road. The refuge begins shortly after you make this turn.
From the South: Take I-65 north to exit 253 for US-30. Turn right (east) onto US-30. After 27 miles, turn left (north) onto S CR600W. After 5.8 miles, turn right (east) onto US-6. After 6.2 miles turn left (north) onto SR-35. Take the first right (east) onto East Hupp Road. The Refuge begins shortly after you make this turn.Address:
