Turkey Run is a heavily wooded park situated on Sugar Creek.  It is a great place to hike and has a few waterfalls on the property.

Specialty Species:

Warblers:  Many warblers pass through the area during the spring and fall, but the main attraction are the nesting Hooded and Worm-eating Warblers.

Where to Bird:

Nature Center:  Check the nature center viewing window to see many common feeder birds.

Trail 1:  Hike this trail for migrant warblers and the chance to see nesting Worm-eating Warblers.

Trails 3 & 4:  Hike these trails to look for nesting Worm-eating Warblers.

$5 Friday - Sunday for Indiana plates
$7 Daily for non-Indiana plates

Most trails are very rugged and not handicap accessible.

Directions:

From the North:  Take SR-231/SR-43/SR-32 South out of Crawfordsville.  Turn right (west) onto SR-47, after turning onto SR-47 stay in the left lane to stay on SR-47.  Go 21.8 miles and turn right (north) into Turkey Run State Park.

From the South:  From the intersection of US-36 and US-41 in Rockville, take US-41 North.  After 8 miles, turn right (east) onto SR-47.  Go 1.7 miles and turn left (north) into Turkey Run State Park.
